       Attorney Lalita Haran is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Indiana State Bar Association.  Her practice concentrates in the area of U.S. Immigration Law. 

       Attorney Haran is licensed to practice law in the State of  Indiana, U.S.A. and is also admitted to the Bar in India.  She graduated in law from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, U.S.A. (receiving J.D.) and earned Bachelor of laws (LL.B.) from the University of Saugar, Madhya Pradesh, India.  Ms. Haran had worked with renowned lawyers at the High Court of Madras,  India.  

       As a solo practicing lawyer in immigration her goal is to offer the best possible service while keeping in mind that the government filing fee for immigration paperwork have escalated so high as to cause severe financial strain on the prospective immigrant clients.  Her law offices maintain a high ethical standard as the attorney makes a careful assessment of eligibility to file for an immigration benefit.

Pro Bono / community Work: This law office is currently offering legal assistance to Haitians eligible to apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) immigration benefit.

As an AILA member from Indiana, Ms. Haran is instumental in promoting community education about immigration and immigrants.  This year (2010) she coordinated the "Creative Writing Contest" for the Fifth grade students in Indiana.

Her public speaking engagements and seminar on immigration are all about immigrants' rights and how to protect them.  Ms. Haran writes in community and professional publications on critical issues in immigration.

The Practice

    This law office mainly focuses on the practice of U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Law.  The office deals in both employment as well as family based immigration law cases eg. preparing paperwork for  applications, adjustment of status and cosnular processing for green card, different kinds of non immigrant and immigrant visa and naturalization.

     In addition to directly assisting the clients on immigration filing, the office also works with criminal and family law attorneys advising them on how to protect their foreign national clients' interest so that it may cause least damage to their immigration history.

     State of Indiana is home to the great football team which was the 2007 NFL champion and you may even have visited the City of Indianapolis, the State capitol, to watch the Indy car race; but the less known fact is that the City of KOKOMO, within 50 miles North of Indianapolis, known as the 'City of Firsts.' 

       Kokomo has given several innovations to the world.  The foremost being the automobile.  The world's first car rode on the streets of Kokomo when the automotive pioneer, Elwood Haynes, test drove his invention in Kokomo.  many events happened first in Kokomo and hence the name "City of Firsts."  Additionally, Kokomo houses several automobile parts manufacturing plants which are going through a revival cycle.
